- Attend daily subcontractor meetings and perform survey setting out of lines and points in accordance with structural and architectural requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with project staff and subcontractors to understand their requirements and plan effectively to meet project timelines.
- Ensure accuracy in all survey setting out lines and points, and carry out proper handover to relevant parties to minimize errors in site work.
- Consistently follow a disciplined approach to setting out works based on the floor framing plan by checking formwork levels before and after casting, and verifying as-built slab levels and the verticality/alignment of walls and columns.
- Demonstrate confidence in all surveying tasks by performing repeated checks and thoroughly closing out daily survey works to eliminate any potential errors.
- Ensure timely calibration and servicing of surveying instruments used on site, and maintain proper records to support audits by government authorities and comply with company standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate with the Licensed Land Surveyor to ensure accurate AMSL and As-Built surveys are conducted and properly endorsed for submission to the relevant authorities.
- Assist in implementing the Environmental Health and Safety program developed by the PM and WSHO to contribute to a safe and clean site.
- Make an effort to improve oneself by attending new surveying courses to meet or exceed current standards and propose the latest surveying equipment or methods that are practical for site use.
- Willing to take on additional tasks that are part of the project team’s activities, contributing to cost savings.
- Provide guidance to new or junior land surveyors joining the company to ensure smooth integration into the team without impacting site progress.
