Safety Management & Compliance

  • Assist the Project Manager in implementing and maintaining the Safety Management System to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Implement the Permit-to-Work system and halt/report incompatible activities to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Acts and Regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure and improve safety standards.
  • Identify and report safety non-compliance and deviations; recommend corrective actions.
  • Keep the team updated on statutory safety requirements and implement necessary changes.
  • Investigate incidents, dangerous occurrences, or accidents and propose preventive measures.
  • Ensure all safety documentation is up to date for regulatory and ISO audits.
  • Participate in evaluating risk assessments and planning safety management programs.
  • Work towards achieving safety standards set by the site’s developer.
  • Ensure the site adheres to statutory safety requirements and internal safety regulations, and promptly report any deviations to the Project Manager for further action.

Committee & Communication

  • Serve as secretary and chair of the Project WSH Committee; ensure coordination between Nakano staff and subcontractors.
  • Liaise with relevant authorities such as MOM, NEA, PUB on safety, environmental, and health matters.

Training & Promotion

  • Conduct safety training sessions and promote awareness through safety campaigns and activities.

Environmental Control

  • Submit and implement the site’s Environmental Control Programme; ensure understanding among staff and workers.
  • Conduct regular checks on environmental health facilities and equipment.
  • Assist authorities in investigating infectious or vector-borne disease outbreaks.
  • Organize environmental health campaigns and training courses to promote high standards.

ISO and Integrated Management Systems

  • Support compliance with ISO 9000 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and OHSAS 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) standards.

Subcontractor & Worker Management

  • Monitor and manage subcontractors’ safety and health performance.
  • Assist in managing worker welfare including training courses, sick reports, home leave, and accommodation.
  • Contribute to planning activities in public-facing areas to ensure public safety considerations.
